Dr Anna Leahy is a facilitator for the California Humanities’ Literature & Medicine program. This nationally recognized program utilizes literature and facilitated discussions to cultivate empathy and communication skills among healthcare professionals. Dr Leahy is also the author of numerous books of poetry, essays, and creative writing, and she directs the MFA Writing Program at Chapman University in Orange, California. She holds an MFA in Poetry from the University of Maryland and a PhD from Ohio University.
