ON-DEMAND, SELF-STUDY CE WEBINARS

COVID-19 and Employees’ Mental Health

DATE: Thursday, April 21, 2022
Noon – 1 p.m. CST

COURSE DESCRIPTION

COVID-19 has touched nearly every aspect of life, from personal and professional to health and wellness. While the focus in long-term and residential care has to be on protecting residents, the pandemic’s reach has been far greater.

The longevity and gravity of COVID has lead to struggles with stress, anxiety, depression, loneliness, and other mental health obstacles for almost everyone. Resources have been developed to address this for seniors and residents of healthcare communities, but our industry is challenged to help our workers, who continue to be affected by these same issues and more—more work, more risk, more tension, and often not enough support. Although restrictions are being lifted and we are returning to the normal grind, employers must understand that mental wellbeing is still a heightened issue for most.

Organizations can support the mental health of their most valuable assets: their staff members. This webinar highlights the impact COVID has had on mental health and what you can do to help your staff—or your co-workers—face and overcome these challenges for an even better “normal” for employees than before.

AT THE END OF THIS PRESENTATION YOU WILL BE ABLE TO:

  • Dive into the multifaceted impacts of COVID on mental health

  • Identify ways to help residents and staff members manage mental health obstacles

  • Find resources to support and encourage mental health awareness and break down the stigma that prevents some from seeking help
