EMARs 2.0 – Getting the Most out of Your System and Avoiding Pitfalls

DATE: Thursday, July 21, 2022
Noon – 1 p.m. CST

COURSE DESCRIPTION

Electronic health records (EHRs) have transformed healthcare in this country, and the impact of electronic medication administration records (EMARs) on the quality of long-term care (LTC) has been immeasurable. With less emphasis on paper-based record keeping and increased reporting capabilities, clinical staff is freed up to spend more time with residents. Other substantial benefits include security, privacy, and efficiency of medication management.

This progress, however, has not been achieved without some hard lessons learned.

As we enter our second decade of experience with EMARs in LTC, join us to understand:

  • Where pitfalls still lie within electronic record systems

  • What your system and pharmacy interface can and can’t do for you

  • Practical steps you can take to improve success and minimize the potential for error
