Tardive Dyskinesia vs Other Drug-Induced Movement Disorders
DATE: Thursday, August 17, 2023
Noon – 1 p.m. CST
COURSE DESCRIPTION
Nearly five million patients in the United States are currently treated with antipsychotics, which makes Dopamine-Receptor Blocking Agent (DRBA)–induced movement disorders associated with medications commonly used for psychiatric disorders more frequent than one might think. Learn about various types of DRBAs, including Tardive Dyskinesia (TD), and how best to recognize clinical presentations of DRBAs. We will also touch on treatment options and stigma associated with the disorder.
